So, now that I’ve figured out how to get pictures from my telephone to the internet, I think that I’ll start sharing them.  I can’t think of a better place to start than this:

Sorry, everyone, I haven’t written lately because

  • After all these  years, I caved and I’ve been busy doing the facebook thing.
  • I’ve been eavesdropping on UC Berkeley biology lectures (Seriously, check this one out. I just figured out that these days you can find lots of killer lectures to watch on the internet.)drdiamand
  • I’ve been on the best webelos camp ever.
  • I’ve been to Philly to visit my friends and see their marvelous bike-puppet horse. Actually, I didn’t know there would be a bike-puppet, and there were lots of other neat things, but maybe none so cool as the bike-puppet horse.
  • I’ve been making plans to go to Lexington next week to be part of the mini Psalters tour.
  • I’ve been moving UCS’ laboratory to a new room.

Of course there’s more. There’s always more… but I’ve got to save something to whine about tomorrow.

I’m home. Of course I’m home. I’ve been home for days. I haven’t had time to sit down at the computer for more than a few minutes and if I ever did I’d be too busy feeling guilty about not having started my novel yet to write anything here. In fact, that’s what I’ve been busy doing for the last hour or so: feeling guilty about not yet having a novel started and it’s already almost the 7th!

Anyway, the Harvest Gatheriing was wonderful, of course. I didn’t even bring my cello on account of the mashed finger but I played accordion and bells and ersatz piano with Jonni, Ami, Daniele and the Illalogical spoon. I got to hang out with Jon and Hannah and Jonni and Jeremy, Andy, Paul and Ashley from Jackson, MI. Of course, spending hours locked in a box with people is one of the best ways to deepen friendships (or the opposite) and I must say I’m glad to have spent 27 or so hours with Ami and Brian, Brach and Rebecca.

We spent Monday down at the Clarks’ house in SC and drove home on Tuesday while you were all voting.

I’ve managed to plough through my backlog at work but I’m feeling the pain of a week away from play rehearsals. Not to mention the fact that I still haven’t even started my novel!

Well, in a few hours I’ll be on my way to Asheville for the Clark’s Harvest Gathering. It actually feels pretty good to know I’ll be travelling.

Against my better judgement, I’m going to attempt National Novel Writing Month this year. I’ve talked several students and at least two other teachesr into joining me in my madness.

Shayn Davenport just wrote to say I’m on youtube now. I hope it’s good; I haven’t got sound just now.

Good Night, World.
